Back on the Mainland

I know it has been forever since I wrote anything here but the humans that I live with had this "bright" idea to go to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I had no clue what that meant but boy did I find out. The middle ofn nowhere is what it is mostly. What little internet service we had they certainly weren't going to share with me so I finally got my paws on the keyboard this morning. Let me tell you...the Outer Banks (just islands off the shore of North Carolina) may be the middle of nowhere...but it is the best middle of nowhere I have ever seen. I really had a good time when they took me to the beach. The sand is so soft and it was so much fun to run in. I believe I might have lost my dignity there for a while. I just couldn't help myself!! My "momma" kept trying to get me into the water but I was smarter and faster than she thought. That was until she picked me up and put me into it. She only got my paws wet. Oh the trials of being small. If I were a Rottweiler, she wouldn't have done that. But if I were a Rottweiler, I would have been right in the water anyway. They have no fear.... Anyway, back to OBX as the islands are called. If you ever have the opportunity to go there, just do it. I don't think I would go in the summer...too hot and too many people. I hope we go back next fall when we leave Maine. It would be ok with me if we just spent a week or two there!! I guess I am a beach dog after all. I will include a picture of me on the beach. Woooohooo...I LOVE the beach

Visit from the Cat Lady and Time to Leave

Well, tomorrow is TRAVEL DAY and I am not sure I am ready for that. It means that we will no longer be by Lorraine and that means no more treats. I am certainly not happy about that. Everybody was outside tonight (in the cold I might add) saying good-bye and hugging. Nobody but Lorraine hugged me. See what I mean!!!

The past few days were interesting because we had a visit from my "momma's" daughter, Laura. I refer to her as the Cat Lady because she has two HUGE cats and she takes their side when we go see them. She just doesn't know what those cats do to me when we are left at home by ourselves. They are twice as big as me and, well the trauma I suffer at the paws of those cats is something else. Then I get yelled out when I just barely bark at one of them....HUMPF!

Well she came for a visit and, as bad as I hate to admit it, she wasn't so bad. She was even pretty nice to me while she was here. I think she just missed her fur balls and I was the closest thing she could get to them. Just before she left though, her true colors came out because she put me between two throw pillows and declared that I was a puppy sandwich. See only an evil person could think of a puppy sandwich. I knew she was just faking it when she scratched my ears and pretended to like me. I did get left home alone a lot while she was here...hmm.
