I HATE Hurricanes!!!!

As you all probably know, we just had a hurricane down here in Texas and I can tell you that I HATE them. At first my humans were just going to stay here because they thought Ike was going in south of us. But then it started turning to come here and they decided that 100+ mph winds in a motorhome was not a GOOD idea at all. Now you know, I am always up for a good road trip but I had no idea what awaited me on the other end of the line.

The humans got up early on Thursday and threw stuff (including me) into the car. After 5 hours in the car, we arrived at Joe's and Patti's. I was excited about this because of the last time we were here, I was pampered beyond belief. I did not know that Joe and Patti had gotten a new puppy (YUK) since my last visit.

I get in and there is this bouncy, hyper black thing all over me. I could not get away from her no matter what. All she wanted to do was sniff and sniff and sniff.....enough already!! I finally discovered that she does not like men humans for some reason so my life got better after that. I just stayed really close to "Dad" and she had to leave me alone!!!

We finally left there after 5 days from hell only to come home to no electricity. My humans went back to work to leave alone in the house will all the windows open. It is hard to rest will all the noise. So this week I have been catching up on my sleep....finally!!!

Can you believe it is April!!!????

My Mom finally let me get back on the computer and I looked at my blog. I can't believe I haven't written anything since January and here it is April!!! There really hasn't been much to write about as both my Mom and Dad are working now and I am stuck alone all day long: :-( I do get to go for walks about the RV park when they get home but the other dogs here aren't very friendly. I think we are going on a trip soon as I have heard some talk about it but I think it is only to Dallas. Nowhere fun like last year. We are going to stay put here for a while and that can get very boring for an dog like me who likes ADVENTURE!! My biggest adventure these days is barking at Mom and Dad when they try to take a shower...really wakes them up in the morning! I'm just trying to warn them about the dangers in there...WATER..YUK. But, they get in anyway. My other big adventure these days is seeing how many of the little round pieces of my dog food I can put where Mom and Dad will step on them while they are walking around the house barefooted. They don't like that much either. As you can see, my days are a far cry from visiting Lorraine at the campground in Maine or running down the beach on the Outer Banks, but I will try to find some things to do here that will be interesting to write about. Everyone out there have a wonderful spring.

Hi Finally!!!!!!!

I know I haven't written in FOREVER, but things have changed a great deal since we came back to Houston. I don't know what got into these humans I live with but they have lost their minds. My "momma" went back to WORK! That is a four letter word and there she is doing it. She get up very early every morning (5:30 AM) and doesn't come home until about 5 PM. All of that was bad enough, then last week, they left me with Bill and Marilyn and I heard that they went on a cruise. Now staying with Bill and Marilyn was great! They really know how to treat a dog. They have a dog too, named Gizmo. I actually like him, but don't tell him that. Gizmo and I slept with Bill and Marilyn. They fed us treats, played with us and really pampered us. They are great dog owners. I really had a good time, but still my mom and dad just ran off and left me for 7 whole days.

Now that they are back home, my mom has been working very long hours on some project that she says will be over soon. I hope so I am not getting nearly enough lap time and I'm starting to get upset. What is a dog supposed to do without enough lap time?? Anyway, that is an update from here. More as I get time....
